When I lock my card in the app it does NOTHING! I UNINSTALL and re-download and the SAME THING is happening; I lock the card, it acknowledged its locked, I leave that page, go back to the page and see that the card is NOT LOCKED like I didnt just activate the card lock! Its completely useless to me that I can't actually utilize one of the most needed features of the app! What the heck!

The app is good. There's a lot to it that's innovative. However, the "reward earning" on this app doesn't seem to work at all. I signed up to Survey Junkie under the idea I would get $15 invested into my account if I redeemed 500 points. I used the link for it, did as told, and it's been 7 days— nothing. It doesn't even indicate if it saw what you did. I tried contacting support, but the chat randomly quit. If this isn't intentional, this needs to be fixed. I'll change my rating when it does.

I wish acorns was a bit more like Rocket Money, in that, I wish there was an option that allowed you to turn the spare change into a savings option instead of or in addition to an investment account. the extra 20 cents into a savings fund that is immediately accessible could be useful for some to pay debt, or cover their losses in case of emergency, built off of change; money they won't notice they have to save, just as much as it can add to investing. that is my only complaint. otherwise, good!

The idea is good but the implementation is weird. It rubs me the wrong way that when a purchase is an exact dollar amount, it rounds up to the next dollar instead of letting it be. You can't just invest the round ups, it also requires a fixed contribution per week, which is not as explained. You can't customize your stocks without premium, which is even more money. It's not streamlined. Sad most "bank" apps try to sell you something without basic controls you would expect.

I have tried to set this app up several times but it isn't working. It goes through the "put in email , and password. Then sends a code" after I put in code it starts all over and repeat the process. I have given up on it. I have even installed and reinstalled the app. Still no change. Always has me start all over. No change. I'm glad I don't have money invested 😔 n this. Update: got contacted via email nothing has changed, it keeps sending me through same loop on app and website.

For the last two days, I haven't been able to log in. It keeps popping up with a message saying, "Oops, something went wrong, try again in a few minutes." I've deleted and re-download the app a few times even tried logging in from the website version, but that doesn't work either. Like fix your app or let me pull my money out. I enjoyed the app since about 2021. I just don't know why it's having issues currently!

The investment piece is a nice bonus but really I just use it to set aside some extra cash. Having it round up every swipe of the card makes it easy to set aside cash. In addition to hopefully making a few bucks from the investments. It's great for short term savings of small amount. Few hundred bucks usually. Ive no intention of saving long term so can't speak to that.

The Acorns app is fantastic for beginners looking to learn how to successfully navigate the investment world. They help you to learn the basics and more pretty easily and are pretty up-front about what they offer and the price, as well as what you can expect. The app is easy to navigate and setup an account, as well as learn the fundamentals of investing, all at the comfort of your choosing. Great app and I recommend it!

Been a user for 3+ years. Overall, very satisfied because it's so easy to use. The only reason I withheld the 5th star is round ups don't always sync. Before the recent upgrade, I could go back and add the round ups manually, but that feature has been nixed. I changed to a weekly investment instead, which is fine. I love the pre-selected portfolios and have used several vendors for found money--another great feature. Even with the monthly fee, I'm net profit using the very conservative portfolio.

Simple. Quick. An easy way to save a few dollars or start out investing. The low fees are perfect for new investors. The update has made this app easier to use and navigate. I'd give 6 stars if I could. Edit: I've used Acorns for 5 years now and I would still give 6 stars if I could. The app is easy to navigate and offers plenty of information. One time deposits and withdrawals are simple and quick. I switched from round-ups to automatic weekly deposits, which took about 2 minutes to change.

They are constantly updating this app everytime I re-download it. There are some new and great features, and they keep expanding on what users want. There are some new graphs that have given me a better insight into where my money is going. However on this most recent version, I get bombarded with popups and reminders as soon as I log in, to explore the app, graphs, charts, and settings. Especially on the android version there seems to be a bug, because "Invite your friends" throws an error.

I set up my account because I had a promo code. The code never went through, so I contacted customer support for help with the code. I explained I had just set the account up, never heard back from them. Literally the only emails I got from them were emails telling me that I hadn't deposited any money yet, or I could save money when using my synced debit cards on purchasing stuff. It's been months, literally 2½-3 months, I've not heard back from them about the problem with the code. I've dealt with other companies that have sketchy customer support and I think I'll pass on this company. Uninstalling, didn't deposit money, so not a huge loss for me.

The app itself is straight forward and useful in helping you out away money without requiring much thought. So the product itself is great. But recently there was an Android update and ever since then, your app does not hold on to the login credentials and requires you to log in every single time. Rebooting the phone allows you to log in once with fingerprint, but once you close the app it requires you to input username and password until you restart the phone again. Very annoying.

I just had so many issues. Starting with they didn't round up after every transaction but instead took a lump sum every few days which I didn't like or at least was not what I was expecting and my bank account was being withdrawn more than once a week for a somewhat significant amount that did not tie to my weekly contribution. My "investment" was always at a loss. The app is confusing to navigate. And then out of nowhere I see they charged me a $1 membership fee come to find out its a monthly subscription that I was never notified about. I just requested to withdraw all my money and they say they will deduct some money for selling fees or something not giving me a number of what the fee will be. I hope to see the money back in my bank account soon and not have any issues. About the loss on my investment I kind of get it because the market has been pretty messed up lately but all those hidden fees and charges I can't tolerate. I paused my contributions so let's hope they are not sneaky about since they still have my bank info.

It js a good app for microsavings, save a lot of money without even realizing it, and they handle the hard part of actually figuring out where to put it to make it grow. Unfortunately, I had to liquidate and close out my account when they forced 2-factor authentication or a locked account. I'm serving overseas and don't have a US phone number, and they don't accept international numbers. I really liked the app. It sucks that they're forcing a security measure that should be optional.

A Google user

Easiest way to save. Just download, set your preferences on what you feel comfortable investing (Multiplying round ups on transactions to the nearest dollar, weekly or monthly investments) and forget about it. Come back later to a full savings fund you didn't even realize was missing. includes a feature to "estimate" the future potential of your Acorns savings fund as well, not sure how accurate the algorithm is, but it sure is motivating to look at!

The app still has login issues, I setup biometric login but it still randomly logs me out and I have to enter my username and password. What's the point of having biometric if it's still going to require a regular login, extremely frustrating!! I will not use the app at all until they figure out how to create a login that works - which after all these years they haven't yet - I doubt they ever will. The service (not app) is great, works with no issue! The partners and found money is great.

The Application is an awesome idea. While i use it, i am having a hard time dealing with no contact number to speak to a human. While the application generated assistance can be helpful, there should be an easily found phone number for those who prefer the human experience, and for those issues that cannot ve resolved through the app. Furthermore, you are asked for redundant verification of your linked acounts, which is frustrating. One time verification upon initial sign up is enough.

My account was locked for security reasons. Got several emails about how to fix it. Called customer support and fixed it in 5-10 minutes. Only thing that bugs me, location services can be tricky sometimes using this app, that showing you false login locations. Had this app for about 3 years. Never had any other issues with it. Easy money transfer and withdrawal processes. Very nice feature of transfering change from your credit card transactions. Would be nice if you can fix small issues.

Acorns is a great concept that can still be executed better. I liked the concept it stands behind and how it encourages saving in a meaningful way but the problem is that it doesn't execute the way it is advertised. It actually needs you to do $5 incremental investments, you can't actually "just add a quarter." My last hope with this system was using their own debit card, but it too functioned the same way. It doesn't, on its own, deposit the change either. It still requires $5 increments.
